Jacob Frye's Gauntlet by Trujin
Jacob Frye's Gauntlet
It took a while for me to get back at you guys again with my latest work. I've been slaving myself for the last view weeks to finish my Jacob Frye costume for Castlefest. I rushed a couple of props and took the liberty to get rid of some details to add them later on this year. It was just too bad that my sewingmachine broke on me before I could finish the coat on time. This was a good excuse to go out and wear a "summer" version of Jacob as it is getting pretty hot in the Netherlands at the moment.

After Castlefest I decided to work on the coat a bit more on an other machine and finished most of the big work on it. After that I decided to put together a bunch of my WIP pictures, an collage of an almost finished gauntlet and a funny pose I struck with our dear friend Nikolai Orelov.

Due some personal issues I won't be able go back crafting any time soon, so you probably will hear from me again around Halloween. Have fun at Gamescon people!

Jacob Frye's Kukri by Trujin
Jacob Frye's Kukri
One of Jacob's iconic weapons. I finished this piece some time ago, but never took the effort to actually made some decent pictures. It's based of the Kukri that can be seen in the gameplay trailers of Assassin's Creed Syndicate.

I wasn't planning on working on this character, but I guess this just happened. It's a pretty cool weapon after all.

Material list:
- Plywood
- Woodglue
- Foam
- Alluminium tape
- Furniture nail
- Acrylic paints

A Cautious Alliance by Trujin
A Cautious Alliance

Last Sunday me and my girlfriend cosplayed Arno Victor Dorian and Élise de la Serre at Elfia. These pictures were one the last made of us that day (but almost first to be found). I personally think the pictures turned out great!

For anyone interested in trivia: the titles of these pictures are inspired by the sequence titles of Assassin's Creed Unity. The Arno costume is based on the "Arno's Tailored" armourset.

Hello dear watchers,

I've been gone for a long time. A couple of weeks ago I uploaded pictures of Arno related props, I posted some pictures of the Elf Fantasy Fair in april and promised more soon. Thus, it's time for an update: I'm enjoying my holidays at the moment, I went to Rome two weeks ago and in between I had a gadget update (new phone) and I continued to do some crafting (offcourse).

While I was in Rome a lot of people went to Gamescon in Germany, I hope all of you had fun and I'm glad some of you were kind enough to make lot's of pictures! So even before Rome I went to Castlefest, a nice place to walk around in costume and I'm still waiting for some pics of that lovely fest. At the moment I'm pretty much done with Arno Dorian reveal trailer version (which will probably end up being an alternative skin to choose from). I also almost finished Arno Dorian gameplay version (I wore it without the blue coat and hood allready) and I even did some new updates on Edward (modified the shoulder armor to be more sturdy and have a brown leather rim around the borders). It's pretty sad I never posted some new pics of Edward this year, it has changed a lot since last year october =p. I hope to get some new submissions up soon, I've lot's to show but so little time, nice weather and camera lenses to actually capture it.

Anyways, a week ago the wonderfull stanislav-1985.deviantart.com/ asked if he could use one of my Connor pics to make some work of art with. I hapily agreed and am honoured of the fact he made this piece of art from it. Thanks a lot! stanislav-1985.deviantart.com/…

Now finally the last part of the journal entry: After my gf gave me a little last push I decided to join this Dutch costume competition. It isn't anything big, but if you guys would be so kind to like my Connor Kenway cosplay I could win a cool pirate shirt There will also be a jury judging the costumes, if they like my costume I could also win a nice package of crafting surplies.

So I would kindly ask you to like the following picture through this link:

THANK YOU PEOPLE FOR YOUR SUPPORT, THE CONTEST IS OVER! I WON THE PUBLIC PRICE, THANK YOU!!!

Thank you very much in advance!!!!

Anyways, have fun and thanks for the attention!

Greetings,

Trujin

PS: Sorry if I never thanked you for a watch. While using my smartphone I accidentally deleted some notifications, so I never knew who exactly added me. Anyways: thanks a lot for your interest!

Haha, I was watching the "live" announchement. It seems rather cool. He seems more like Edward in herritage and the whole game gives me a The Saboteur feel (which is one of the best games ever).

However, I'm very busy with school at the moment and actually want to finish some old costume work first before skipping to the next costume =).

Oh I hear ya, I'm in the middle of playing "catchup" with Real Life as well. I just thought it was a neat costume as it kind of represents some aesthetic evolutions in the AC universe that I thought were intriguing (mainly that 19th century SteamPunky vibe).  And your cosplay work with the AC characters has always had a fine eye for detail, so whenever you may decide to make a Jacob, I can already tell it's going to be epic. :D
